Mini bottle Gin Sloanes

In his search for the perfect combination of botanical ingredients with which to make his gin, the master distiller and mixer of Sloane's Gin was struck by the dimensions and scope of sir Hans Sloane's (1660-1753) personal botanical collection. He devoted his entire life to assembling this collection that served as the basis for the collections of the British Museum and the Natural History Museum.

The botanical collection of Sir Hans Sloane, undoubtedly very influential and an inspiration for the first English gin distillers of the mid-eighteenth century, introduced to the United Kingdom exotic botanical ingredients such as juniper, the skin of fresh lemons and oranges, lily root, angelica, cardamom, coriander, cassia bark, licorice and vanilla, which since then make up the aromatic base of this drink.

Our master distiller and mixer thought his gin should be named Sloane's Gin in honor of Sir Hans Sloane, for his remarkable contribution to botany and, unintentionally, to the world of gin.
